Will it smell like beef?
No. Properly rendered and filtered tallow is nearly scentless. Pure carries a faint note of olive oil, and the other two smell only of their essential oil. Nothing lingers once it has absorbed.
What is tallow skincare?
Tallow skincare uses rendered beef fat. Its fatty acids closely match the lipids in human skin, which is why it sinks in and leaves skin feeling nourished rather than coated.
Is Lipid Logic’s tallow grass-fed?
Yes. We use 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef tallow, combined with certified organic olive oil and, in two of our three formulas, a single organic essential oil. No synthetic fillers.
Will tallow clog my pores?
For most skin, no. Tallow’s fatty-acid profile is close to your own sebum, which is why it absorbs rather than sitting on the surface. Start with a pea-sized amount at night and let your skin tell you how much it wants.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Because tallow’s composition is similar to the skin’s own oils, it is well tolerated by many people with sensitive skin. Pure is our unscented formula, with no essential oil at all. Patch testing is always recommended.
How much should I use?
A pea-sized amount for the face and a dime-sized amount for the body is plenty. Warm it between clean fingertips until it melts, then press into slightly damp skin.
How should I store my balm?
Keep it at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture, with the lid closed. Balms soften in warm rooms and firm up in cool ones — that is normal and does not affect quality.
When will my order ship?
Orders ship from Solon, Ohio within 1–3 business days. Shipping is free on orders over $75.
What if it isn’t for me?
Unopened jars can come back within 30 days. Opened jars within 7 days, as long as at least 80% is left. If something is genuinely wrong we cover the return shipping, and you choose a refund or store credit.
Do gift cards expire?
No. Gift cards run from $25 to $200, arrive by email, and never expire. Any balance left over carries to the next order.
